Jammu Kashmir trip package: Trip Overview
Autumn may be Kashmir's most beautiful season. The chinar trees turn gold and red, and for a few weeks the fields of Pampore are purple with saffron flowers.
This Kashmir autumn tour is one of our most photogenic Kashmir travel packages. It takes in the saffron harvest, Aharbal waterfall, a night in Pahalgam and a final houseboat evening on Dal Lake.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 01: Srinagar Full-Day Local Sightseeing
- We pick you up from Srinagar airport or railway station and drop you at your hotel.
- Visit Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal and the Shankaracharya Temple.
- Spend the evening strolling along the Boulevard by Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight in Srinagar.
Day 02: Pampore Saffron Harvest and Avantipora
- From late October to early November, the fields of Pampore turn purple with saffron flowers.
- Watch the harvest and learn how real Kashmiri saffron is graded, then visit the Avantipora temple ruins.
- Return through avenues of golden chinar trees. Dinner and overnight in Srinagar.
Day 03: Aharbal Waterfall Day Trip
- Drive about 2.5 hours through rice fields and pine forest to Aharbal in Kulgam.
- See the Vishaw River crash down the Aharbal waterfall, one of the highest in the valley.
- Picnic lunch by the river, then return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight.
Day 04: Srinagar to Pahalgam Transfer and Sightseeing
- Check out after breakfast and drive to Pahalgam.
- Enjoy the Lidder riverside and apple orchards; optional pony ride to Baisaran (own cost).
- Check in, dinner and overnight in Pahalgam.
Day 05: Pahalgam to Srinagar Transfer and Sightseeing
- Visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari by local union taxi (own cost).
- Drive back to Srinagar in the afternoon.
- Enjoy a complimentary 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, then dinner and overnight on a houseboat.
Day 06: Srinagar Airport or Railway Station Departure
- After breakfast, check out from your hotel or houseboat by 11 AM.
- Transfer to Srinagar airport or railway station with wonderful memories.
