This Srinagar Kargil Leh tour package follows one of the great road journeys of the Himalaya. After a day in Srinagar you cross the Zoji La pass, stop at the Drass War Memorial and spend a night in Kargil.

From there the road runs past the moonland of Lamayuru to Leh, with a day for the monasteries and a night in Nubra Valley over Khardung La before you fly home from Leh.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 01: Srinagar Full-Day Local Sightseeing

We pick you up from Srinagar airport or railway station and drop you at your hotel.
Visit Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal and the Shankaracharya Temple.
Spend the evening strolling along the Boulevard by Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight in Srinagar.

Day 02: Srinagar to Kargil via Zoji La

Cross the Zoji La pass and stop at the Drass War Memorial.
Continue to Kargil.
Dinner and overnight in Kargil.

Day 03: Kargil to Leh

Drive past Lamayuru's 'moonland', Magnetic Hill and the Indus–Zanskar confluence.
Arrive in Leh in the evening.
Dinner and overnight in Leh.

Day 04: Leh Local Sightseeing

Visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and the Hall of Fame.
Visit Thiksey and Hemis monasteries.
Dinner and overnight in Leh.

Day 05: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Cross the Khardung La pass to Nubra Valley.
See the Hunder sand dunes and Diskit Monastery.
Overnight in a Nubra camp.

Day 06: Nubra to Leh

Morning at leisure in Nubra.
Drive back to Leh.
Dinner and overnight in Leh.

Day 07: Leh Airport Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Leh airport for your onward journey.
