This Gurez and Kashmir tour pairs Kashmir's most remote valley with its most famous places. You cross the Razdan Pass to Gurez for two nights among log-house villages and the Kishanganga river.

Back in the valley, you visit Gulmarg, spend a night in Pahalgam, see Aru and Betaab valleys and finish with a Shikara ride and a night on a Dal Lake houseboat.

It's a good fit for adventure, nature, family, friends/group travellers and includes comfortable stays, daily breakfast and dinner, and a private cab with an experienced local driver throughout. Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 01: Srinagar Full-Day Local Sightseeing

We pick you up from Srinagar airport or railway station and drop you at your hotel.
Visit Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal and the Shankaracharya Temple.
Spend the evening strolling along the Boulevard by Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight in Srinagar.

Day 02: Srinagar to Gurez Valley via Razdan Pass

An early start for the 5 to 6-hour drive north, with a stop at the Wular Lake viewpoint near Bandipora.
Cross the Razdan Pass, at more than 3,300 m, with views back over the valley. Carry original photo ID for the checkpoint registration.
Arrive in Dawar beside the Kishanganga River. Dinner and overnight in a simple guesthouse or homestay.

Day 03: Gurez: Dawar, Habba Khatoon Peak and Village Walks

See the pyramid-shaped Habba Khatoon peak, named after the 16th-century Kashmiri poet-queen.
Walk through log-house villages of the Dard-Shin community and along the Kishanganga.
Optional drive towards Tulail valley if the road is open. Dinner and overnight in Gurez.

Day 04: Gurez to Srinagar

After breakfast, drive back over the Razdan Pass.
Lunch stop in Bandipora, then on to Srinagar.
Dinner and overnight in Srinagar.

Day 05: Srinagar to Gulmarg Day Trip

After breakfast, it's about a 2-hour drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg, the 'meadow of flowers'.
Ride the Gulmarg Gondola (own cost) and enjoy snow in winter or golf and meadow walks in summer.
Drive back from Gulmarg to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 06: Srinagar to Pahalgam Transfer and Sightseeing

Check out after breakfast and drive to Pahalgam.
Enjoy the Lidder riverside and apple orchards; optional pony ride to Baisaran (own cost).
Check in, dinner and overnight in Pahalgam.

Day 07: Pahalgam to Srinagar Transfer and Sightseeing

Visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari by local union taxi (own cost).
Drive back to Srinagar in the afternoon.
Enjoy a complimentary 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, then dinner and overnight on a houseboat.

Day 08: Srinagar Airport or Railway Station Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel or houseboat by 11 AM.
Transfer to Srinagar airport or railway station with wonderful memories.
